EDUCATOR

I went to my first protest at age of 14 and have founded, led, or been part of social justice organizations in Washington DC, Maryland, Illinois, and Washington in the following years. When I began pursuing film, I thought I had to leave my community organizing behind. Instead, activism propelled me into education.

In 2018, I became a Teaching Artist and Advisor for "Learning in Technology", a program co-creating the future of immersive and VR technology with students at Big Picture School, Arts Corps, Reel Grrls with funding from community partners such as Boeing, the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, and the Carroll Family Fund.

In Partnership with Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, I have served as a SIFF Mentor for several Crash Student Workshops.
